PHNOM PENH, Cambodia — OurTutor, an international education and tutoring provider founded by educator and entrepreneur Lugnan Eltayeb Mohamed, has announced plans to establish its first office in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, in mid-2027. The expansion marks a significant milestone for the company as it seeks to bring accessible, high-quality educational services to one of Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing emerging markets.
The new office will serve as OurTutor’s regional hub in Cambodia and is expected to offer a wide range of educational programs for learners of all ages, including children, teenagers, university students, working professionals, and lifelong learners.
According to founder Lugnan Eltayeb Mohamed, who has resided in the Philippines for many years and built his career in education across Asia, Cambodia presents a unique opportunity for growth and innovation in the education sector.
“Cambodia is a dynamic and rapidly developing country with a young population and increasing demand for quality education. We believe there is significant potential to contribute to the country's educational development by offering programs that serve learners at every stage of life,” Mohamed said.
Addressing a Gap in the Education Market
While Cambodia has seen steady growth in its international education sector over the past decade, many institutions primarily focus on primary and secondary education. Most international schools cater to children and teenagers, leaving fewer structured opportunities for adults, university students, and professionals seeking to improve their language skills, academic performance, or career prospects.
