About the Course
This course will help you in the following areas.
1- Mastering the basic elements of everyday problems and situations at school, work, home and leisure
2- Dealing with situations that may arise when traveling in areas where the native language spoken is the local population's mother tongue
3- Phrase topics that are familiar or of personal interest
4- Describe events, dreams, hopes and wishes of the experience to explain and explain the reasons for their views and plans.
Course details.
1- Reading.
This course will train you to read and understand different types of short texts and longer factual texts [regardless of the source of the text: signs, brochures, newspapers, magazines, and messages (e.g., memos, emails, cards, and postcards).
Listening.
This course will be carefully prepared so that you can learn oral material on a range of everyday topics in an informal, neutral setting. You will listen to a variety of recorded material, such as advertisements, interviews, and discussions about everyday life.
You will practice understanding key information to complete the seven multiple-choice questions that will appear on the exam.
You will also practice listening to longer monologues [radio broadcasts or recorded messages about places and events. You will be given a page of notes to summarize and practice filling in the six missing pieces of information in your notes.
Finally, you will listen to an informal conversation between two people discussing everyday topics. You will practice answering [true/false] questions. You will determine if the six statements are correct based on the information, attitudes, and opinions of the people on the recording.
3 - Speaking.
This course will hone your conversational skills and prepare you to demonstrate these skills by answering and asking questions and speaking freely about your strengths and weaknesses.
You will also practice general conversations about your personal information, such as talking about your daily life, your studies, your future plans, and so on. You will also practice describing the details of a picture. You will also practice describing images in detail.
4 - Writing.
You will learn basic grammar and vocabulary expansion skills to help you incorporate complex vocabulary into your writing. You will also practice completing blank sentences and writing informal text messages.
